4 minute excerpt from an hour long multi-faith sacred choral piece, bringing together a live youth choir & a virtual choir of people from all faiths and cultures from around the world to celebrate our spiritual inter-connectedness.

The piece sets scripture from eight world religions to music inspired by their various cultural traditions.

The core of the text for the piece is from the great Teachers such as Krishna, Buddha, Jesus and Mohammad. alongside poems from George Townsend and Frederick Tennyson, which develop the analogy of the rivers representing the many sacred traditions of the world flowing separately into one vast sea.

The performance of the piece coincided with the centenary of the historic visit of Abdu’l-Baha to the UK and the West between 1911 and 1913 following 40 years of imprisonment in Palestine, to share his teachings on the shared spiritual unity of all religions and nations.

During the performance a film was displayed on a large screen behind the choir showing the different faith groups at worship along with visuals of flowing rivers and the sea.
